List of 2012/13 Board of Directors

All members of the Board are full time members of Revv52.  Meetings take place before rehearsal and every couple of weeks depending on the agenda.  The Board is responsible for Revv52's financial performance, organization of all of the concerts, the membership and the ongoing development strategy for the group. 

Revv52, through the original name of Calgary Choral Society, is a registered not-for-profit and a registered charity.

Shannon Stannard	Past President	Shannon grew up singing in various groups and enjoyed experiencing music in many different ways. After spending a few years away from it, she knew she had to find a way to get back singing, and joined REVV52 in 2003. Shannon also enjoys sharing her love of music with her own children, and other Calgary families, and mostly as a passionate leader for our group.
Dan Duguay	Director	Dan has been singing and playing since he was an infant, and has earned his living as a musician since he was a teenager.  Dan the One Man Band is a cultural icon in our city, playing at corporate parties, children's events and community festivals with seamless ease.  His great stage presence and performance chops are a huge asset to Revv52, and he's been performing in harmony with us for the last 9 years.
Michelle Schalm	Treasurer	After spending many years singing in ensembles, Michelle changed her musical focus and joined REvv52 in 2009. The challenge of striving for a high level of excellence with the group has improved her musical ability songwriting skills. Michelle is also a hard working mom, and owns her own company providing business management and bookkeeping services.
Lisa Rouleau	Secretary	Homeschooling mom and editor by day, Lisa has been singing since elementary school. Since moving to Calgary in 1995, she has sung in three choirs. In 2008 after experiencing the joy and passion of a Revv52 concert, she knew she had to be part of it all. She has been on the board and in the alto section ever since.
Jennifer Mikla	Director	Jen has had a love for music, dancing, singing and anything theatrical since she was little. She has been involved in over 40 musicals, plays and reviews in University, community and semi-professional theatre. She is very proud to be a member of Revv52 since 2006. By day she is a Mortgage broker and writes a popular and award-winning food blog called Calgary Foodies.
Michael Birnie	Director	Michael has musical roots that are deep from all the time spent as a boy singing and playing music in his family.  A Calgary Boys Choir graduate and a master of harmony, Michael brings strong bass chops to our group and an evolved sense of organizational talents that the group relies on.  Michael has been singing with Revv52 for 5 years.
Lindy Sacuta	Director	Three years ago a friend brought Revv52 tickets over, and after the show Lindy decided it was time to get back into music after a little break for about ... oh ... 3 decades!  We're delighted to have her talents in developing our brand and market presence further.
Paul Stanton	Director	Paul came to Revv52 in January 2010 after a 13 year stint as artistic director of StoryBook Theatre. Singing and using past experience to help build productions for Revv52 has been a refreshing change from theatre. Through the day Paul is an Events Manager for the Calgary Homeless Foundation.
Peita Luti	President	Peita grew up in Scotland and has had music in her life since she was a wee girl.  Her family and friends are very musical, delighting each other with songs on all occasions.  Peita joined Revv52 in 2010, and has been a wonderful and cheery addition to our group. By day, Peita consults in the high technology industry as a project manager.
Joe Moreau	Director	Joe has a huge passion for music and spends a lot of his free time playing the piano and singing.  He joined Revv52 in 2002, and has been a Board member since his first season.  As President for 3 years, Joe worked with the group to rebrand itself from its original Calgary Choral roots, and improve the overall impact of the concerts on audience members.  Joe runs an IT company that specializes in radiology systems.

Jacquie Shand	Assistant to the Artistic Director	Jacquie has been involved in music all of her life, singing and playing several different musical instruments since she was a child. Some of her past career stops are: Accountant and tour manager for the Calgary Boys Choir, Event Services Manager at the Jack Singer Concert Hall & Organist at a local church, to name a few. She is the ‘longest-standing’ member of Revv52 and brings a wealth of background for the choir starting with their days as an ‘oratorio’ choir and moving to the current time where our audiences ‘expect the unexpected’.
