Rita joined Revv52 in 1996 and currently enjoys the role of soprano section leader. Rita has a background in classical piano and also plays the Guinean djembe and dunun drums. When the opportunity arises, she enjoys performing with friends at open mics in the city.
Kim teaches music at Gymboree Play and Music to kids 6 months – 5 years old, using her classical and jazz music training from Mount Royal’s Voice Performance Program. She was a member of the MRU choirs for over 12 years.
Michael brings years of classical music training and choral experience, notably with the Calgary Boys Choir. He performed at the highest levels internationally with this group, and also sings with ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
David joined the group in the fall of 1985 and has sung in over 100 Revv52 concerts. He grew up with piano, cello, accordion and guitar and a wealth of shared family and community musical experiences. David participates frequently in choral musical events around Calgary.
Kyrsten is Revv52’s Movement Consultant, having joined the group in 2013. She is a prominent member of Calgary’s dance community as a performer, educator, choreographer, rehearsal director, yoga studio owner, arts consultant, and outreach coordinator.
Carolynne brings a strong Musical Theatre experience from Capilano College in North Vancouver. She has also sung our anthem for the Vancouver Canadians baseball team, and choral performance singing with Chantelope and Celesta Choirs.
Janet has sung with her Church choir for the last 10 years, and was very active in choirs and musicals throughout her schooling.
Growing up just south of London, England, Janice joined the choir at her school at the age of 12. She later provided backing vocals for a local band, as well as hosted many karaoke parties in the pubs and clubs around London for over 10 years.
Pamela sang with Calgary Choral from 1989-1992 then took a 10-year break. In the 1980’s and 1990’s, she sang at weddings and special occasions in and around Calgary.
Heather started her singing career with the Calgary Girls Choir and beginning private vocal lessons at age 13. Heather was a semifinalist with the Calgary Stampede Talent Search, and regularly performs at private functions and events.
Music has an important place in every part of my life; career, family, and in my free time. I have a song for everything! I love being a part of Revv as it gives me an outlet to grow and challenge myself as a group member and as a soloist. I come every week committed and excited to learn and I contribute to the supportive atmosphere created by all of my amazing friends.
Amanda’s a trained vocalist who has performed across Canada, the NWT and the USA. Most recently, she sang for Alberta Theatre Projects in an homage to Barbra Streisand. She is also a member of ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
Chis has worked in the Calgary area for 40 years as an audio recording and live show engineer, producer, production manager, and technical director. He’s designed dozens of professional theatre productions over the last 20 years. Chris has worked with Revv52 for more than 20 years.
An accomplished singer/songwriter, Cort has toured extensively across Canada and recently completed a songwriting residency at the Banff Centre. Cort also produces a live music series for the Calgary Drop-In Centre.
The original “Dan the One Man Band” has strapped instruments to his body and performed in Calgary for ovr 25 years. Dan can be seen hosting a new show called the “Whoknows Variety Show” at the Ironwood Stage in Calgary.
Barb has spent over 25 years with Revv52. She coordinates liturgical music selection in her two schools, and for the first time in her young 58 years she is taking piano lessons and enjoying every moment with her close friend and piano teacher.
I love the process of seeing an idea happen – from the early audition process with new singers, choosing and arranging of songs, the story and script, going deep making adjustments and rehearsing, then adding the lights, the sound and sharing our music live with an audience. I bring a huge passion for embracing the Revv52 experience!
An active and creative artist, Valerie plays the ukulele and piano during her spare time, and is a member of PlaysWellWithOthers, a new vocal collective. She is also a member of ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
Patti enjoyed early exposure to music and performance with her family. She took vocal training for 4 years, competing in music festivals across Saskatchewan. A career involving extensive travel required a reprieve from choral singing, but she’s back now!
Kate was an active member of choirs, concert band, and musical theatre ensembles throughout her schooling. Kate is also a member of Word of Mouth, an a capella quintet in Calgary, and a member of ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
Mike performed in musicals in high school, including Beauty and the Beast (Cogsworth), and Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey II). Mike is a member of ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
After residing in Houston, Texas Athena is excited to be back and celebrating 14 years with Revv52. This professional photographer is an experienced vocalist, avid cook and mother of two. Look for her EP album later on this year.
I bring 40 years as a professional musician along with my love of music and performance. Playing and arranging for Revv52 have been wonderful experiences for me. I love the joyful spirit I see and hear in each and every member.
Working for Daniels Audio Engineering, Tobias has over 5 years with Revv52. Moving from Europe in 2011, you can find him at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, numerous festivals in the summer, and in his brand new (and cozy) studio.
Dave joined Revv52 in 2009 after an extended career as a vocalist from the Calgary Boys Choir, the Young Canadians, and 20 years in a professional vocal quartet. He currently plays in the band Rewind, is a member of the vocal quintet Word of Mouth and ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
Brian is hooked on Revv52, enjoying the singing, the people, and the opportunity to learn. Brian enjoys health and wellness, the outdoors, hanging out with friends and family, sci-fi, and games! Brian is also a member of ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
Peita took part in musicals in High School and sang in a choir at University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland as well as a children’s theatre group that toured to Czech Republic in 1996.
Dave has a very long history of streetcorner-style a cappella singing, primarily with the Calgary-based group Standing Room Only. He is also a member of Word of Mouth, an a cappella quintet with some of his Revv52 friends.
A musical theatre and Broadway lover at heart, Jen has worked on countless musical theatre projects and two summer touring shows. Jen is a member of PlaysWellWithOthers, a new vocal collective in Calgary, and ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
Dave has a serious interest in choir music from all over the world, given his passion and love for languages and different cultures. Dave has over 5 years with Revv52, bringing his passion and enthusiam for the lower notes in the scale to his fellow baritones.
Ian has sung in various choirs for much of his life, and in the 70s and 80s could be found performing with various bar bands. These days, he shows up at the occasional folk night, and also sings with his church choir.
Mallorie has sung and danced with the Youth Singers of Calgary, and with the Calgary Girls Choir. Mallorie also sings with the a cappella quintet Word of Mouth, and is a member of the vocal collective PlaysWellWithOthers.
Leveraging her experience as an accomplished pianist, Pam participated in Hillhurst Community spring musicals while singing at the Hillhurst United Church and with Revv52, where she’s been singing for over 40 years.
Joe has been playing piano since the age of 7, and now performs as a singer with his own adapted arrangements of classic piano singer/songwriter songs at cafes and private functions. He is a member of ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
Christian has performed on stage in Montreal and Toronto in musicals including Fame, Cabaret, and Sweet Charity, as both a singer and a dancer. Christian released two French singles that hit radio waves in Montreal in 2008.
John has been in Musical Theatre for over 25 years, doing everything from singing and dancing to directing and designing shows, including winning two best lighting design awards. He also sang with Revv52 as a bass at Carnegie Hall.
Kelli’s stage experience includes musical theatre characters including The Cat in the Hat in SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL, and a lovely lady in LES MISERABLES with Keyano Theatre in Fort McMurray.
I’ve helped move Revv52 from a vibrant choral singing group to being a major Live Show & Entertainment Production with Art Direction, Sets, Lighting & Wardrobe Design accompanied by Staging and Choreography.
Sandra’s choral singing background includes several years with the Mount Royal Youth Choir and previously with the Young Canadians. She was a member of her Medical School band, and now jams frequently with her family and friends.
Kathleen is a student of jazz and an accomplished piano player who can be found performing her own shows in Calgary on occasion, exploring new ways of interpreting classic singer/songwriters. Kathleen is also a member of ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
I’ve been arranging and playing with Revv52 for over 10 years, and I bring an understanding of the balance of the group and knowledge of the voices so I can tune my arrangements to their strengths. It’s a lot of fun performing with them and being part of something so unique in Canada.
Stu plays around town with his garage band the Innuendos where he sings, plays violin, mandolin and harmonicas. Getting back into choral singing after 32 years away has been invigorating.
Jennifer began singing at St Mary’s High school, under the guidance of the beloved Mrs Audrey Gunther. When she attended Queens University, Jennifer sang with vocal groups Polyhymnia and Queen’s Players.
Lisa has loved singing all her life. She performed in small ensembles and musicals in high school, and pursued her love of choirs when she moved to Calgary in 1995. She’s sung with groups ever since.
I enjoy every rehearsal with the group; their energy is contagious, and as the accompanist I return that energy with a good groove!
I am the youngest member of Revv52 and believe I bring a young spirit to the group. I have many years of singing and hope to learn much more from those around me. I’m so enthusiastic about this year, and am pursuing it fearlessly!
An Honorary Life Member of Revv52, she is the longest-serving member at 45 years. She has sung in more than 90 shows and special gigs with the group. Jacquie has always been involved in music – even as a young child – and has clearly made the Revv “family” a huge part of her life.
A strong family support from her mom and sister was influential in Eve’s growth as a singer, honing her talent through church and school gigs, and spontaneous jam sessions.
Brett has a background in classical music and choral, and continues to look for ways to grow and expand his musical talents into the future. He is a member of ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
I bring my piano, music stand and amp to Revv52! Playing as Revv52’s rehearsal pianist and Musical Director helps me help the singers be the best they can be (and my metronome helps me keep time too)!
John plays keyboards in an award-winning Calgary classic rock band, and plays many other musical instruments including the majestic Tuba. John generally feels the best place to mark math assignments for his students is at a karaoke bar.
Claire frequently appears in concerts in Calgary as a feature singer, and is a founding member of PlaysWellWithOthers, a new vocal collective in Calgary. Claire is also a member of ReMix: Powered by Revv52.
Now rediscovering his passion to sing, Ken has been hiding his talents for over 47 years as he last took the stage for a seven night run in George Gershwin’s Girl Crazy at the University of Alberta’s SUB Theatre in February of 1969!!
Through trial by fire, he has become a solid tone for the bass section leveraging his experience as a singer and guitar player for over 40 years.
