Everything New is Old Again – Artistic Director Notes

Everything New Is Old Again takes the hits of 2980 – 2010 and reimagines them as hits from yesteryear. Inspired by Scott Bradlee’s critically acclaimed Post Modern Jukebox, our show will transport you from 2020 to the smokey New Your jazz clubs of the roaring 1920s, to 1960s Hitsville USA for some Motown inspired backing vocals, to a wailing New Orlean’s dirge. You never quite know where the music will take you. Thank you for joining us as we turn the Bella Concert Hall into a musical time machine where a great song can be great in any decade!

Joining the Revv52 team has been a rewarding and exciting experience. The members of Revv52 are dedicated to the group, phenomenal singers and more importantly, they are a blast to work with! I have been a revv52 audience member and fan for the last three years. I have come to appreciate the wholehearted passion the members leave on the stage each and every show. Over the next few seasons, I am hoping to build on Revv52’s success by collaborating with some of Calgary’s best up-and-coming artists, creating original Revv52 songs and presenting some really original shows that start as soon as you enter the lobby of the Bell.

A special shout out to the amazing team of volunteers behind the scenes that make these shows happen in ways I didn’t appreciate as an audience member and to the team of professionals in our Artistic Team who work hard to make our vision come to life. You have made me feel very welcome in a short amount of time, and I am looking forward to the amazing shows we are going to create together.
